Inspired by Modern art and Mid-century design, Arc+Ray jewelry collection is created with natural materials and unique found objects. Each piece is created to achieve a subtle balance — light and heavy, dark and bright, soft and hard, dynamic and static.

Hello, I am Jo.

I was born and raised in Beijing and have since fallen in love and moved to the US.

As a transplant, I found being in a completely new environment both exciting and scary. To find the creative community, I turned to jewelry making and participated in local craft events. That leads to the creation of Arc+Ray. In many ways, it helped me to find my voice and connect to others.

I am a self-taught jeweler and a curious person. Working with different materials allows me to learn a variety of skills and share my experience with makers from different backgrounds. I find beauty in some of the humblest materials and believe that with the right treatment and composition, they will have their own moment to shine.

This is the philosophy of my work – Be true to who you are and be the person who makes others shine.

I hope my work will bring joy and spark into everyday life, and help to start a conversation and create meaningful connections.

Care + Clean

Arc+Ray uses natural materials that can be maintained and restored.

Brass will naturally start to tarnish if exposed to oxygen. But it can be easily refreshed with Pro Polish Pad. Please keep brass items in a sealed plastic bag to prevent patina or tarnish when not in use.

Please keep pieces including wood, leather, and cotton away from water. Wipe with a dry clean cloth. Use leather lotion or mink oil to condition the leather part if so desire.
